If you’re unable to activate or add a Checkout Extension Block, this is due to a current limitation set by Shopify.
At the moment, adding app blocks directly to the checkout page is only available for stores on the Shopify Plus plan. Shopify restricts checkout customization for non-Plus plans, which means merchants on other plans cannot install or manage Checkout Extension Blocks from the checkout editor.
What This Means for Non-Shopify Plus Stores
If your store is not on Shopify Plus, there’s no need to worry—this limitation does not prevent the app from working.
You do not need to add the block manually from the checkout page. Instead, you can simply:
Open the app
Configure the rules and settings you want
Save your changes
Once set up, the app will automatically apply those rules during checkout, even without the Checkout Extension Block being added in the checkout editor.
Summary
Checkout Extension Blocks can only be added on Shopify Plus stores
This is a Shopify platform limitation, not an app issue
Non-Plus merchants can still use the app by configuring rules directly within the app
The app will function on the checkout page based on those rules
